What if you could get more youthful-looking skin with a procedure that firms, tightens and lifts – all without going under the knife? The Plasma Lift skin-tightening treatment is a highly effective alternative to surgery as no scalpels or surgical instruments are used. This virtually painless procedure has low risk, minimal downtime and is more affordable than cosmetic surgery such as eyelid lift or facelift.
This non-invasive and non-surgical procedure addresses pigmentation, sagging skin and wrinkling on all areas of the body. Commonly treated areas include the upper and lower eyelids, mid-face, nasal crease, around the lips, between the eyes, crow’s feet, neck and belly skin.
A Plasma Lift lasts an average of 60-90 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area, and this includes the time it takes to apply the topical anesthetic. A numbing cream is applied to the treated area before to minimize any discomfort during the treatment. The treatment consists of an electrical arc that is transmitted through a small, hand-held probe. The tool doesn’t touch the skin, but a plasma flash creates a tiny dot called a “carbon crust” upon contact. Multiple, uniform rows of these tiny dots are placed in the areas of concern.
Once the procedure is over, it’s important to use the aftercare cream on the treated area as long as it is sensitive or when your skin is exposed to the sun to keep the treated area safe. You’ll want to make sure to protect the treated skin and keep it from direct sun until the skin is completely regenerated, which is about 2-3 weeks post-procedure.
You will notice results immediately but usually need two sessions for maximum results. Full results are seen 2-4 weeks after initial treatment. You can typically resume your regular activities right away with minimal downtime as the “carbon crusts,” or tiny dots that form on your skin during the healing process, will fall off in 5-7 days after treatment. You may experience some swelling for up to four days after the procedure and the treated area may have some redness for a couple of weeks.
This innovative skin-tightening procedure can be repeated after the skin fully regenerates, and average results last anywhere from two to four years.
Plasma Lift VS Morpheus8
Plasma Lift and Morpheus8 are both advanced skin rejuvenation treatments, but they differ in their approach and benefits. Plasma Lift uses plasma energy to create tiny controlled injuries on the skin’s surface, which stimulates collagen production and tightens the skin. It’s particularly effective for non-surgical eyelid lifts, reducing fine lines, and improving skin texture. Morpheus8, on the other hand, combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to penetrate deeper into the skin, targeting deeper layers for more profound collagen remodeling and skin tightening. It’s ideal for treating a wider range of concerns, including wrinkles, sagging skin, and acne scars, and can be used on both the face and body. Both treatments promote skin tightening and rejuvenation, but Morpheus8 offers a more comprehensive solution for deeper skin issues, while Plasma Lift is best for surface-level concerns.
